FY Residence by Studio–Liu is a timeless, elegant home inspired by the beautiful, diverse landscape of Sydney’s Lower North Shore.

Shortlisted for the Australian Design Review IDEA and Dulux Colour Awards, the home thoughtfully incorporates details that resonate with its natural surroundings, such as the gracefully curved custom staircase handrail, which echoes the flowing contours of Sydney’s coastal edge.

The meticulously crafted custom staircase is an elegant focal point, seamlessly blending bronze accents with dark timber veneer joinery in Cinder Gum from George Fethers & Co’s Lignapal collection.

A deep, rich charcoal veneer with subtle brown tones and natural wood grain feature, the beautifully textured Cinder Gum staircase joinery complements the light timber floors, exuberant pastel artwork, and fluted glass for a harmonious blend of modern elegance and artistic expression.
