Burt Street by Infinity Built & Makan

Warm sandy oak laminate joinery, natural stone, and subtle textures elevate the contemporary minimalist design of Burt Street, a new residential project in Melbourne’s Southwest by Infinity Built and Makan.

At the heart of the home is a bright and airy kitchen featuring a striking tiled splashback, a well-appointed butler’s pantry, and sleek oak laminate kitchen cabinets crafted from Cellupal by George Fethers & Co.

A stunningly realistic and cost-effective alternative to real timber veneer, Cellupal laminate features a 3D woodgrain texture that mirrors the look and feel of lightly brushed timber. The Eik colour was the ideal choice for the Burt Street project, with its sandy oak tones adding warmth to the grey stone and tiled surfaces.

Both low- and high-pressure laminate versions of Cellupal were used strategically throughout the project. For the kitchen cabinets, Cellupal low-pressure laminate (LPL) was selected for its refined appearance and durable polyurethane coating.

Meanwhile, the subtly curved panel beneath the striking stone-topped kitchen island utilises Cellupal + high-pressure laminate (HPL), which features a resin coating for enhanced scratch resistance in high-touch areas like the kitchen island, where extra protection is essential.

Continuing the contemporary aesthetic, Cellupal Eik LPL laminate joinery is also featured in the bathroom, adding warmth and texture to the grey tiles to create a serene, spa-like retreat.
