Domaine Chandon is an iconic winery in Victoria’s Yarra Valley, offering tasting, retail and dining experiences against a backdrop of sweeping vineyard views.

Anchoring the space to its Australian setting, Foolscap Studio prioritised locally sourced materials for the project, including Spotted Gum timber flooring and veneer by George Fethers.

The Maison flooring and Lignapal timber veneer work together perfectly, adding warmth and character to the striking palette of textured marble, rich velvet and soft bronze. Foolscap Studio selected this handsome combination of colours to reflect the surrounding landscape’s seasonal changes.

Both George Fethers products are beautiful yet robust, ideal for commercial applications and high-traffic areas. The Lignapal panels are prefinished with a highly durable acrylic polyurethane coating which adds protection while allowing the timber’s natural depth and beauty to shine through.

Likewise, the engineered Maison floorboards feature a three-layer construction for added strength and are prefinished with a premium extreme matt oil to protect and seal the timber.
