Switzerland’s Volg supermarket chain is well-known for its bright blue branding.

So a customised blue shade of SKALA BiPV solar active modules was created to match Volg’s distinctive brand.

Eighty thin-film SKALA panels were installed on the western façade of Volg’s distribution centre in standard and reduced length sizes. This created a 71m² solar skin, enabling the building to reduce carbon emissions by generating its own energy.
